Payments Analytics & Search

Go, Elasticsearch, Sequin, PostgreSQL, Kibana — 2026

A reporting and search layer built on top of SendChap’s payments and remittances platform.

Change data capture reads directly off PostgreSQL’s write-ahead log via Sequin and streams it into Elasticsearch, where it powers:

  • Transaction volume breakdowns by provider and region, using Elasticsearch aggregations
  • Per-user and per-transaction search across the back office
  • Point-in-time (PIT) pagination, for consistent results over large, actively-changing datasets
  • Operational dashboards in Kibana for support and finance teams

Because the pipeline reads off the WAL instead of polling, changes in the source database show up in search and reporting within seconds — no batch jobs, no nightly syncs.
